No need to say I spent the entirety of the market playing with the horses letting my mum run around for the actual errands. Breton work-horses are such gentle and beautiful creatures. They were all so massive, the size of their neck was absolutely ridiculous but all very curious and cuddly. Not sure why, but I instantly fell in love with the bay mare, I was ready to take her home, I didn't want to go, I felt weirdly sad leaving her. I love horses, all horses, I owned one that I decided to sell to be able to move to London as I didn't have time or money to take care of her, but once in a while there is a horse you love more than other, something I can't explain, just a feeling looking in their eyes.

7 days - 7 pictures
Here is a little new project. I wanted to do the 365 project and have a picture a day but it felt a bit ambitious, and then the 52 project felt like not enough, I can't choose just one picture a week. So here it is, seven pictures for seven days. There are days without pictures and, well, obviously some pictures were taken on the same day. I hope you will like it.
1. Doughnut peaches from the market. Perfectly sweet and tasty.
2. Record sorting for our new shelf.
3. Dinner out, view on the harbour, low tide.
4. Chapel where we exchanged our rings almost a year ago.
5. Daily outfit to work on the land: jeans and wellies. Little stroll in the river.
6. Hay hay hay and more hay.
7. Homework.

Home
This is our new home.
We have arrived safely in France last Friday and we have the Internet since last night. We've kept quite busy, we have a new wooden floor in our bedroom, a shorter door due to the new floor, cleaned a shed buried under ivy, building a record storage unit, went for a swim in the sea and drank a lot of Breton cider. It rained a lot but we finally have a little bit of sun and just the perfect temperature outside.

I love...
My husband's pictures. Ok I'm probably biased. But I love them and I wanted to share some with you. If you like them, you can see more here.

Olympics
I didn't know I cared about the Olympics. Or sports. Or France. And here I was cheering for France against Canada and loved every second of it. It was an unplanned, unexpected, great experience. The game was tensed and captivating. France won in the end, couldn't have asked for more.
The atmosphere was brilliant. People are just happy to be there, everyone is smiling and nice and it is contagious. I'm glad we did it, a once in a life time experience.
I would have killed to get tickets for the horse jumping though.

A wedding in Devon
Saturday before the last, we were invited to a wedding in Devon. A month ago the happy couple came round to our place under pouring rain, we were all a bit worried the weather was going to be the same on the wedding. It turns out that the planet earth has gone mad and in a few days the weather changed from cold rain to burning sun (and back to cold rain again). Saturday was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect, the house in Devon, the orchard, the couple, the guests, everything was beautiful. And hot. So terribly hot, I got sun burned even though I used sun protection.

The ceremony was unofficial (they got legally married the day before) but it was the real wedding. It was moving and sweet. Fresh pimms were replacing champagne. A very good choice in my opinion, as I am addicted to pimms and also because of the weather. But beware of the - many - fresh pimms in the hot sun, it goes to your head. We stayed out drinking in a sun long enough to get dizzy and red before heading for the marquee and food. It was all simple but looked great. I specially loved the idea of the guest book with a Polaroid camera for everyone to leave a picture with a few words.
We danced most of the night away to 1950's music drinking champagne. What more could you ask for?
